Collaboration is a beautiful thing.
Ideally, a collaboration should bring people together to create something new, and better than what any one person could each have created on their own – - and such is the case with RomanLeo, which beautifully combines the efforts and talents of Randy Crisp and Ruzanna Yesayan.
It's ironic that Randy and Ruzanna grew up across the world with one another, on opposites sides of the Cold War – and who would have guessed that they would eventually meet in Los Angeles, and then later make NYC their home. Ruzanna grew up in St. Petersberg, Russia where the Hermitage Museum and the Mariinsky Theatres were ever-present influences for her. Later, she was able to move to the US to pursue her love of the arts - first attending Rutgers University, and later Art Center College of Design, before working five years as an Art Director.
Randy attended the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. While still in school, he had the opportunity to work closely with legendary Magnum photographer Elliot Erwitt, as well as Native American artist Fritz Scholder.
The two combine their talents to make the beautiful imagery that you see here – and I think you will have to agree, the results are extraordinary.
