Creatives love to see photographers’ personal work because it reveals their true photographic style without anyone else’s influence or input. APA Los Angeles – otherwise known as American Photographic Artists – understands this insight, and that is why they have put together their show, Off The Clock, for the third year in a row.

Michael e. Stern, a Pasadena, CA based commercial and time lapse photographer was commissioned by The LA chapter of APA to shoot a time lapse piece during their annual "Off The Clock" personal photo exhibition.
"I did this for the love of the art form, to enhance my directing acumen and for the opportunity to get my work seen by a larger audience. With over 25 hours of labor and 11,000+ images to work from, I didn't do this for the money. It is true love.
"I'm committed to the idea of helping people and organizations communicate to their audience. Lately, time lapse has been the hot area of growth in our industry and I've been fortunate enough to have gotten on the train in 2011, but really I'm just very satisfied that I've been able to make a living as a professional photographer for over 30 years and it shows no signs of letting up. APA has been a huge help to me over the years with educational programs, marketing help and for the networking opportunities."
